Our Final In-Person Farewell of the Season
April 20, 2022 -- Prestancia Country Club

We celebrated 20 wonderful years of fun, festivities, and philanthropy. There was a nostalgic photographic journey of SICE's past twenty seasons.
In the words of SICE president Joe Morra, " Far and above all else, our "End of Year Gala Luncheon" at the Prestancia Country Club proved to be the signature event of the 2021-22 season as we detailed SICE's Twentieth Anniversary. Event Director, Mary Maresco, with the assistance of Hewie Poplock, SICE's website technician, presented a film history of SICE's events over the last two decades, 2002-2022. What a heartwarming reminiscence for all our "old-timers" and quite an eye-opener for our current members. Not to be outdone, Event Co-Directors, Fran Plankey and Janet Jarzyna, planned the entire event with meticulous attention to detail, including a special gift for all attendees - - a SICE coffee mug."

A Venetian Reception & Book Discussion Inspired by Marcella Hazan’s "Amarcord”
Imagine the serenade of a gondolier as you taste tantalizing cicchetti and sip your wine. Mouthwatering pasta and Venetian delights were presented in the magnificent setting of the Italian Renaissance Phillippi Mansion on the south bank of Phillippi Creek.
Inspired by world-renowned chef Marcella Hazan's memoir, "Amarcord", SICE had a reception and book discussion that will took you straight to Venice, featuring food and wine drawn from Hazan's recipes, served by Simply Gourmet Caterers.
A video presentation of that included an exclusive SICE made interview with her son, Giuliano, portrayed her love for the two cities she called home, Venice and Sarasota.
